The day I start calling cabs...

Yes, it's official. Later today I will have to start taking cabs to customer sites. As company policy does not allow us to claim for cab fares from home to office, I am left with no choice but to ride to office everyday & start work from there.

From 1st March onwards, no more direct trips to customer sites from home. Reason being I have no idea where I'll end up by the end of the day. Should I end at the office, I'll have to take a bus or train home from there. Which is like, how do I get home from there? Thus I am left with no other options but to ride to office, park my bike there, take a cab from there to customer sites, take a cab back to office when I knock off from work & then ride home. It is such a hassle but I'm hoping to be able to save more money next month onwards.

The intentions being that I'll save up all my cab fare claims separately. Since my company revoked my bike allowance, I shall not save a single cent on cab fares. I will not share a cab with my fellow colleagues even if we are going to the same site. I will not wait at roadsides or taxi stands. I shall call for a cab as & when I need one. I shall not put myself through such misery since my company will be paying for it & my company will pay for it. Period.
