Dinner

The Earl Of Derby serves dinner from 6 to 9pm so I arranged to meet Alex at 7pm. We've already checked out the menu during breakfast & I was more than ready to try the rump steak. I have no idea what that is suppose to mean & the guy at the bar counter was kind to enlighten me that it is just a strip of beef with a layer of fats along one side of it. Did I get that clearly? A layer of fats? Ooohh!!! That sounds absolutely marvellous! I wasted no time on ordering a medium rare of that. Alex ordered that too but a medium well-done.

We chatted briefly about what we've learnt today & was beginning to stray into the IT stuffs when our steaks arrived! Medium rare. The red juices start flowing the moment the blade cuts through it & I savoured each & every drop of it. It was good but I've had better. It wasn't exactly a disappointment but maybe just because it wasn't as good as the steak I had at Outback restaurant back in Singapore. So far, that was still the best piece of beef I've ever had!

Oh, did I forget to mention about the chinaman? Well, I did not.
